  • Outstanding CTE Program = Outstanding Community Service Teacher Award

    Suzanne Walker, FCCLA adviser and Food Science Teacher, accepted the Outstanding Community Service Teacher award on behalf of Yakima School District and Eisenhower High School students.

    At the 2022 WA-ACTE Summer Conference in Spokane, WA earlier this month, Suzanne was an award winner for providing an outstanding CTE program for youth in Family & Consumer Sciences.

  • Former Davis High School Band Students Win Drum Corps International World Championship

    On Saturday, August 13, two former Davis High School band students, Eli Gomez (class of 2019) and Kolby Arnold (class of 2020), won the Drum Corps International (DCI) World Championship with the Blue Devils.
     

     
    The Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps is a World Class competitive junior drum and bugle corps based in Concord, California. This is the highest honor you can earn in a marching band and each of them beat out hundreds of others to earn their spot in that group. Congratulations, Eli and Kolby!

  • Kinder Transition Program Bring Smiles to Barge-Lincoln Kinder Learners

    Barge-Lincoln Elementary wraps up a fun learning experience during their Kinder Transition Program (KTP). KTP is a week where our Kinder Learners meet their teachers, learn school routines, safety plans and get familiar with the building.

     A total of 48 Kinder Learners attended the program. Teachers were able to build relationships with both students and families during this week and are excited about the start of the new school year!
